1 year anniversary

May 6, 2011 was me and my boyfriend's one year anniversary.  How exciting!! Time definitely flew by sooo quickly, but at the same time, it seems like we have been together much longer.  Anyhow, I am truly blessed to have this man in my life =]

We started off by going to dinner at Market Street Grill in downtown Salt Lake City. It was delicious! Especially these oysters!!
mmmm... yummyyyy. Super pricey though.. $3 for each one, and they are so tiny!! ><
We also ordered some drinks, which were very good as well.
Mine is the one with the raspberries (of course hehe).  I don't remember what it's called, but some mix of champagne.  Chacho got wine, I don't remember what it's called either, but both are very good! He ordered swordfish and I got halibut.

After dinner, we took a stroll downtown and went to the Salt Lake library to take some pictures.
[outfit: dress- forever 21. ring- wet seal. shoes- Aldo (gift from Chacho). Bracelet- gift from Chacho]

Then, we just went back to his house and chilled.  We drank some iced wine I bought from Canada last year.

It is very sweet and very good =].  It better be! because it was expensive! hahaha

After, we opened presents. Yay!

(photo album filled with pictures over the year =D)
I got him a 2 TB external hard drive and puma suede high tops in light gray and red. =D

That's the end of that night!

The next morning, we went to get a couples massage at ZEN massage.
Our after massage meal: fresh broccoli, celery, banana, kiwi, and blackberries

For the remainder of the day, we went shopping, went to our good friend Josie's graduation bbq, napped, and went clubbing at Opium Lounge with our friends Nancee, Karen, Phil, and Luna.

The End

P.S.
here's my make up for the night

Valentine's Day 2011

Happy (late) Valentine's everyone!!

I know there are many controversies as to why there is such a holiday as Valentine's... WELL it's here to stay, so deal with it! hahaha.  I personally like Valentine's Day, even if I did not have a boyfriend.  You can always spend it with loved ones, such as family and friends, it doesn't have to be with a significant other, you know?!

How did I spend my Valentine's? My boyfriend and I went out to eat with my mom and sister at Sampan Asian Cuisine; where my dad works.  Afterwards, we just chilled at my house for a while and opened presents =]

He got me shoes from Aldo and a custom made (by him) box of chocolate with little quotes under each chocolate =D. awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....

Later that night, we went to the W Lounge with our friends.  They were having Soul night ^_^. oOoOo yea!  Unfortunately I had been sick and wasn't really able to enjoy it =[

Overall, it was a fun night.  I just wish I wasn't sick
<3

How was your Valentine's Day this year?

Urban Decay Naked Palette

Hello all~
I'm back with another make up look =].  This time I used Urban Decay's Naked Palette, which I LOVE!  It is so versatile.  You can do a very natural, sophisticated look to a really dramatic, night time look.

(Image from kraseybeauty.com)
If you guys are able to get your hands on this palette, I highly suggest it.

I also used my Crown brushes for the first time (the above pictures are the Crown brushes, minus the MAC 224).  It is alright, I'm not crazy about them.  The small smudge brush was very rough, not soft at all..

After priming my eyelids with UDPP, I used "half-baked" on the inner half of my eyelids and "smog" on the outter half.  I used "darkhorse" on the outer V area of my lids.  I then used smudged "smog" on my lower lash line.  Highlighted brow bone and inner corner with "virgin."  Lined upper and lower lash line with urban decay's 24/7 liner in "zero."  Curl and apply mascara.

On my cheeks, I am wearing NARS blush in "orgasm"
On my lips, I am wearing Sonya lipstick in "peach fuzz" with Elf's minty lip gloss in "nashville."

I can't take good pictures of myself hahaha.  It looks so awkward and forced XP

Purples~

Hi everyone! So here is a very simple purple-y look i did for today.  My camera did not pick up some of the colors and such, so it doesn't look as "cool" on camera. Booooo.... (If you click to enlarge the picture, you MIGHT be able to see.. I don't know haha)

(Picture taken from CoastalScents.com)

EYES:  I used the purple colors on the Coastal Scents Smokey Palette (Top right corner on the picture above)
I took the warm purple color (Last column, 2nd row down) and placed it in a big outter V shape, going above my crease and just under my brow bone.
Taking a fluffy pencil brush, I used the darker purple (2nd to last column, 3rd row down) and put it in a smaller outter V shape, just under the first color.  Blend inwards.  Also applying this color to the lower lash area.
Taking a pencil brush, I mixed the sparkely purple and the black with reddish sparkles (last column, last row) and very lightly placed it on the outter V area, creating depth.
I took an eyeshadow brush and picked up the pink-ish color (last column, 1st row) and placed this on the inner half of my lids.  I highlighted with the color on the 1st column, 2nd row down.  Lastly, taking the white color, I added it to the inner tear duct as well as the inner 1/3 of my lower lash line.
Lined my upper and lower lids with a black eyeliner. Curl and mascara.
LIPS: Elf's runway pink.
FACE:  I did not want to wear anything on my face today =]

Birthday Ramblings

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME~!

It's official, I am 23 now O_O. Oh man......... time flies!!! I have experienced sooo much in my life during these 23 years (as does everyone).  There are some things I regret and some things that I would want to relive over and over again.  I want to thank everyone who has been and are still in my life for all of their blessings they have given me.  <3<3<3

Jan. 14 was my actual birthday.  I didn't do much to celebrate though.  My sister and I went to eat at "Back East."  It's a phillycheese steak place and it is yummmmy!!! Definitely will be going back.  After lunch, we just went to Barns and Noble and TJ Max for a minute because I had to go to work in the afternoon.  Later that evening, my boyfriend (Chacho) and I went to Brighton High School's talent show; he was suppose to be a judge.  When we got there, we found out that he wasn't going to be a judge after all, he was just going to showcase his dance... BUT! When it came time for him to go on, his song did not play!! They didn't seem like they were doing anything to fix it.. My boyfriend was standing on stage for literally 2 minutes; no one made any announcements or anything. Finally, Chacho conducted the audience to do a soul clap while he did his thing.. He and I were very disappointed, but oh well.. After this whole mess, we went to eat at The Old Spaghetti Factory and went to watch a movie at his house.

On Jan. 15, Chacho had planned a birthday dinner and party for all of our family and friends.  We went to eat at Ruby Rivers.  Let me just say, customer service SUCKED!  Everything about it was bad.  Not getting us seated for a long time, spilling water on us and not apologizing, getting some of our orders wrong, etc... I felt extremely bad for all of my family and friends..
We had a little after-party at Chacho's place.  We opened presents, ate cake, played Charades, and just chilled.

(i like this pic because my hair looks red haha)

Thank you to everyone who made this day so special ~ <3<3<3<3

The Journey is FINALLY Complete~ I've gone RED

I really, really, really wanted to color my hair red for the past... 6 or so months now.  The only thing that was stopping me was because I'm in a modeling agency and they preferred our natural hair color (Hence why my hair was ALL black for such a long time.).  I was SUPER bored with my hair so I just decided to go for it!!

Going red all over was such a process; mainly because I already had color in my hair, so it would be pretty close to impossible to lift it without bleaching it out first, and I didn't really want to do that.... ANYWAY.. I went to my first stylist (one of my instructors at the hair school I use to attend), picked out a color, and turns out they ran out of that color at the salon that would lift and deposit color without having to bleach it out.  So, she put a different color from a different color line on and the color didn't take on my mid-shaft and ends of my hair ><.  The color on my regrowth was pretty though.

So afterwards, I called all the different salon supplies to look for the color that would lift and deposit, but NO luck at all!!! I was getting frustrated because I thought I looked goofy (it's more noticeable if you are a hairdresser haha.)  Finally, I decided to go back to the salon that I work at and have my boss bleach my hair (a week after the first color appt.).. After that process, I was a coppery-red color.  I went and bought a tube of mahogany-red and had my boss apply it on for me and VIOLA!!! I LOVE IT!! After 1 week and 1 day, my hair is finally complete!!  You might think my hair is probably all dead and fried, but surprisingly, it's not =D  The bleach and the depositing color was pretty gentle on my hair

My hair looks more brown than it does red in photos =\.  Boooo.............  When I go for my touch up, I will have them add more red into it =]

Urban Decay Haul

I was so excited when I received my Urban Decay purchases this week.  I bought these products from Hautelook when it was having its $2 Urban Decay sale; so everything I bought was $2!! Pretty sweet if you ask me.
Loose Pigment- Shag

Loose Pigment- Rockstar.  Black with a hint of purple sparkles.

Loose Pigment- X.  Very natural/goldish.

Loose Pigment- Yeyo. Sparkly white.

Loose Pigment- Goddess.  Black with blue sparkles.

Loose Pigment- Protest.  Dark, dark green.

Powder Eye pencil- Green Goddess.  Comes with a smudger on the other side of the pencil.

Powder eye pencil- Maui Wowie.

Big Fatty Colored Mascara- Electric Blue

Big Fatty Colored Mascara- Black Cherry.

The pigments turned out amazing.  The colors are so vibrant.  As with every other pigment, there is a ton of fall out.  These pigments comes with a brush attached to it which turns out to be a good thing, but bad thing at the same time.
Overall, I am not totally satisfied with these purchases.  The mascaras have a very dry consistency.  Although I have not tried them out yet, it seems as though it would dry out super fast and would not provide as much color to the eye lashes.  The smoked out eye pencils were alright also.. I find that when you use the smudger, it practically "erases" all the color.
Not bad for $2 each, right ?
